Crises of Political Development in Arab Countries – Political Seminar

The Arab Political Forum (APF) organized a political seminar examining the realities of Arab countries, titled:

Crises of Political Development in Arab Countries: (Legitimacy Crisis, Participation Crisis, State-Building Crisis, Nation-Building Crisis, Identity Crisis, Distribution Crisis).

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Salah bin Madashal, Head of the Department of Political Science at Hadramout University, Yemen.

The seminar addressed conceptual definitions of “political development” and its evolution. It also examined the crisis of legitimacy, the crisis of political participation, and the factors contributing to the decline of public participation in decision-making processes in Arab societies, as well as the prevailing political context.

In addition, the seminar discussed the crisis of state-building, the crisis of nation-building, and the underlying causes behind the absence of a unified nation. It further focused on the identity crisis and the deeply rooted distribution crisis across Arab countries.
